If there's one kind of car that seems to light up the Chicago Auto Show in the heart of the heartland, it's pure red-blooded American muscle.
Naturally, it's Chrysler Group supplying it.
This year, it's the 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Redline -- a fire-breathing, 375-horsepower, Hemi-powered, V-8-kicking coupe. This one has 20-inch black-chrome wheels and other accents. Naturally, there's a six-speed manual transmission. Automatics need not apply.
"The new Challenger R/T Redline fuses our iconic heritage with a one-of-a-kind customized appearance," says Reid Bigland, CEO of the Dodge division, in a statement. "Featuring unique body-side stripes and black chrome wheels with red accents, the new R/T Redline combines unmatched personalization with the unmistakable performance."
The Redline package coming this spring adds $1,995 in addition to the Challenger R/T, which goes for $29,995.
