Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The driver of a propane tanker truck that wrecked on Interstate 20 in Columbia Tuesday has been identified.

The wreck happened around 6:30PM Tuesday on I-20 westbound near mile marker 86 when the truck went off the side of the road.

According to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts, the driver has been identified as Heyward Quattlebaum, 56, of Irmo.

The Coroner's Report states that Mr. Quattlebaum was alone in the vehicle that ran off I-20 into the woods, and died on the scene due to trauma he suffered in the crash.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
