(WLTX) - John McClane is BACK...and headed to Moscow! His son, who is now working for the CIA, has gotten himself in a little trouble and is supposed to testify against a man who is in possession of a very important file. However, a little shakeup at the trial quickly turns into an explosive affair once dear ol' dad arrives. But what better way for an estranged father and son to bond than popping off a few hundred people at a time, right?

I must admit, I had mixed feelings about this one from the start. I was excited that there was going to be another "Die Hard" movie. But, whenever a franchise goes on location to Russia, there's cause for alarm. Nothing symbolizes "Jumping the Shark" more than visiting the land of vodka (except for maybe adopting a kid). Well, it looks like my fears were justified.

These movies have always been extreme and implausable - but they've never been boring. There's a car chase, early on, that will have you reaching for the snooze button. And, from that point, there's no resuscitating. It's hard to distinguish who's driving what vehicle and who shot which bullet. But you'll likely not even care.

I realize there will be a lot of Die Hard defenders, declaring that this movie is getting a bad rap. But nothing clouds judgment more than fanatacism. Eventually they will realize it too. "A Good Day to Die Hard" is a good movie to blow off.
