Lexington County, SC (WLTX) -Hundreds came outSaturday nightfor the Richard Culliver Benefit Event.

He wanted to be a law enforcement officer and Saturday, thanks to Lexington County Sheriff James Metts, Richard got an early start on his career.Metts made him an honorary member of the department as hundreds of others--like USC Baseball Coach Chad Holbrook--were there to support this family.

Kennedy Branham also came out to support Richard.You may remember she is also fighting a brain tumor and received tons of support from the community through her "Pray for Kennedy" Facebook page.

Kennedy spoke to the crowd about Richard and made sure to say a couple of encouraging words to him on the side.
