Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Dutch Fork guard Kyla Wigfall was a spectator her junior year as the Silver Foxes won their first ever state championship.
Wigfall suffered a torn ACL and spent the entire 2011-2012 season working to come back from that season-ending knee injury.
The countless hours in physical rehabilitation paid off as her senior season saw Kyla hit the court at full strength and this time, when Dutch Fork won the state title, Kyla's name was in the boxscore.
In the classroom, Kyla is sporting a grade point average near a 4.4. She says the good grades comes from hard work - often times she is up until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning.
But for Kyla, it's part of the process of being a true student-athlete.
