Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Tons of offense wason display for the more than 35-thousand fans who came to Williams-Brice Stadium Saturday. The Black team beat the garnet team 44-30 in the annual spring game.

In the third quarter, the Black squad scored 17 unanswered points. Running back Mike Davis ran for 40 yards and a touchdown. Perry Orth threw for 125 yards for the Black team.

On the garnet side, quarterbacks Brendon Nosovitch and Connor Mitch combined to throw for just under 280 yards. Wide receiver Jerrell Adams hauled in two touchdowns for the Garnet side.

All-American defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was the receipient of the "receiver from the sidelines" play this year. Clowney caught a 54-yard touchdown from Mitch in the third quarter.

Starting quarterback Connor Shaw did not play. He is still in the rehabilitation process from off-season foot surgery.
