Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- Freshman pitcher Jack Wynkoop threw a career-high eight innings and allowed just one run in South Carolina's 3-1 win over Kentucky Sunday. The win clinched the Gamecocks third SEC sweep of the season.

LB Dantzler hit his 12th home run of the season which gave South Carolina a 2-1 lead which they would not relinquish. With the win, Wynkoop improves to 5-2 on the year. Tyler Webb recorded the save. South Carolina is now 31-10 on the season and 11-7 in the SEC.

The Gamecocks will be back at it Tuesday night against Gardner Webb. The game will be at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C. with first pitch at 6 p.m.
