Columbia, SC (WLTX) -A neighborhood is on edge and parents are on high alert.

Parents say when the school bus stopsto drop off their kids, a stranger is watching.

"Yes I feel stalked," said Derrinique Simmons. "He could pull up and he could snatch me. It's like a routine,every day,same time he appears at the bus stop."

Simmons, 16, says she sees the man Monday through Friday and it makes her nervous.

"When my bus stops he'll stop and he'll wave and he'll keep going," saidDerrinique. "He'll make the u-turn and come all the way back up and wave again."

The Richland County Sheriff's Office monitored the neighborhood Monday, waiting for the man who smiles and waves at a teen who are is not his and who doesn't even know him.

Parents in the area say they are now watching the bus stop like hawks.

"I'm worried about her getting off the bus,no matter if he's an older gentleman or not,and stun gunning my baby, kidnapping my baby,"saidDerrinique's motherWalida Simmons.

Deputies say they know who the man is but at this point, he has not been charged with any crime.
