Blythewood, SC (WLTX) --- The 4A baseball state championship series will take three games to decide with the final showdown taking place at USC's Carolina Stadium. Gametime is set for 7:00 p.m.

After losing game one at Lexington, Blythewood bounced back to take game 2 by a 7-2 score, setting up Friday's winner-take-all game 3.

Blythewood's Allen Louthian went the distance, scattering six hits.

Aaron Dahm and Tyler Romanick had two hits each for the Bengals. Dahm hit the only home run of the game, a first-inning blast that tied the game at 1.

Lexington committed four errors that led to five unearned runs.

If the Wildcats win Friday night, it would be their first state championship since 1999. Head coach Brian Hucks won a pair of titles in 2000 and 2008 as the head coach at Brookland-Cayce.

Barry Mizzell won a state championship in 2001 while at Richland Northeast. This is the first time the Bengals have advanced to the state title series.
