Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- A fire at a Bluff Road business led to a brief evacuation Thursday morning.

Just before 8 a.m.Thursday Columbia Fire Department responded to the blaze.

According to Columbia Fire spokesperson Brick Lewis, when firefighters arrived on the scene the building's occupants had already left the building due to the fire.

Firefighters discovered the flames had already been extinguished, and the fire was caused by a piece of machinery in the building.

Employees were then allowed to re-enter the building.
