Columbia, SC (WLTX) --Testimony in thedouble-murder trial of Brett Parker ended abruptly Thursday,when the suspect had to be taken to the hospital after breaking down in court.

Before the interruption, jurors heard from a medical examiner on just how thevictims in the case, Bryan Capnerhurst and Tammy Parker, died.

Prosecutors say Brett Parker shot the two in an act of premeditation inside the Parkers' home back in April of 2012. Defense attorneys, though, say it was Capnerhurst who killed Tammy Parker, and Brett Parker killed Capnerhurst in self-defense.

Richland County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Bradley Marcusgave the courta moment-by-moment retelling of just what happened as bullets entered the victims'bodies.

He also testified that Tammy had bruising on her head--oneon her forehead, and the other just above her eye. He also said that after she was shot in her left hip, causing her tofall to theground as she attempted to run away from her shooter.

As he described the condition of the bodies, however, Brett Parker became visibly upset. The court paused as Parker's attorneys and court employees tended to the man, and eventually, EMS was called to the courthouse. Previous Coverage:Brett Parker Leaves Court After Outburst

An ambulance then took the suspect to the hospital to be examined.

Outside of court, Parker's mother told News19sufferedhe suffered a panic attack.

Court will resumeFriday morning.When the trial resumes, Marcus is expected to give details about Bryan Capnerhurst's injuries.
