Columbia, SC - Four preliminary winners were announced after the second night of preliminary competition on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC.

The Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants will continue this week with one more night of preliminary competition on Thursday, July 11, at 7 p.m. The final competition is at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, when the new title-holders will be crowned. Lara Elizabeth Scott, Miss Capital City, 20, won the Wednesday talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition. She performed a tap dance to Canned Heat.

Lanie Hudson, Miss Greater Greer, 22, won the Wednesday physical fitness preliminary in the Miss South Carolina competition.

Hope McKenna Harvard, Miss Lyman Teen, 15, won the Wednesday talent preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition. She performed a lyrical dance to A Piece of Sky.

Hannah Henshaw, Miss Clarendon Teen, 17, won the Wednesday evening gown/onstage question preliminary in the Miss South Carolina Teen competition.

Miss South Carolina 2013 will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City, NJ, in September 2013. Miss South Carolina Teen 2013 will compete for the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen in Orlando, FL, in August
