Columbia, SC (WLTX)- One woman is dead after a residential shooting early Saturday morning according toInterim Columbia Police Chief Ruben Santiago.

CPD Officers responded to the 1300 block of McDuffie Street at approximately 3:30a.m. after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Early reports from witnesses indicate that the female victim, Dandra Monet Pelzer, 24,was with a group outside of a residence at the time.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

CPD Investigators continue to determine a motive for the shooting.

Chief Santiago says that CPD is looking for a white, older model Ford Crown Victoria in connection with the case.

While CPD continues to talk with witnesses Chief Santiago requests that citizens call CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME-SC <tel:1-888-CRIME-SC> if they have any information regarding the vehicle or crime.
