IVA, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a security officer at an Anderson hospital has been charged with killing his estranged wife and injuring two other people in a shooting.
Investigators said 44-year-old Robert Hurl killed 42-year-old Brenda Hurl after she came to visit him and their 10-year-old son Friday night at home near Iva.
Deputies say the boy told investigators his parents argued and the two people who were wounded went down to break up the fight.
Authorities say Brenda Hurl filed an order of protection against her husband after a criminal domestic violence charge in 2011 and filed for divorce in 2012, although that case was dropped a month later.
At his bond hearing, Robert Hurl told the judge he wanted to plead guilty because he ruined everyone's lives.
