Columbia, SC (WLTX) - U.S. Magistrate Judge Shiva Hodges has ruled William Gibson, 21, and Andrea Bostic, 20, will remain in jail until their trial.

Hodges denied bond to the pair saying they could be a flight risk and could pose a danger to the community. Hodges specifically pointed to a pending murder charge against Gibson, filed in South Carolina Circuit Court.

The pair were arrested on child sex trafficking charges after a July 30bust at theQuality Inn on Two Notch Rd.

A FBI agent testified both Gibson and Bostic were involved in posting an online ad for an escort, who investigators discovered was actually a 16 year old girl.

Investigators made the bust after they scheduled a meeting with the girl, saying they arranged to pay $80 for 30 minutes.

In federal court Monday, a FBI agent testified Gibson was the pimp of the operations and Bostic ran the operation when Gibson was not around. The same agent testified that Bostic too was a prostitute.

The agent said the ring with the 16 year old girl operated not only in Columbia, but traveled at least on one occasion to Hilton Head.

Since their arrest, agents say they've been making calls from the jail to possible co-conspirators and asking them to destroy evidence.

Before denying bond, Judge Hodges addressed the court saying, "Idon't know what more we can do than devote the resources we haveso that these cases against children are taken seriously."

No trial date has been set for the suspects.
