Richland County, SC(WLTX)- According to Columbia Fire Department a home on Bluff Road is destroyed after the residence caught fire Saturday Morning.

Columbia Fire responded to a structure fire at 6435 Bluff Road just after 10:30am Saturday Morning.

The 2500 square foot brick home is said to be a complete loss according to Columbia Fire Department Public Information Officer, Brick Lewis.

Lewis says when CFD responded to the scene the fire had completely taken over the two story home and the second story had collapsed.

The Fire Marshall estimates nearly $275,000 in damages, including a vehicle that was inside the garage.


The home owners were out of town at the time of the fire, upon return they will be displaced from the home.

Richland County Fire Marshall will continue to investigate to determine the cause of the fire.
