GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man whose body was found last week by school children in a Goose Creek park.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury has identified the man as 40-year-old William Kuhn of North Charleston. Salisbury says Kuhn died from a single gunshot to the head, and he has ruled the death a homicide.

Children were riding their bikes late Wednesday afternoon when they saw a body and called out to the man but he didn't respond. One of the boys then called 911.

The children said they saw a red pickup truck leave the park shortly before paramedics arrived.

State and local authorities are investigating. Kuhn's relatives say he recently had moved to the Charleston area from Ohio and worked as a convenience store clerk.
