Sumter, SC (WLTX) -- Sumter Police responded to a call of shots fired near the Walmart in Sumter Monday afternoon.

Initial word got to News 19 via Twitter users shortly after the incident, and reporter Steven Dial arrived on the scene soon after.

The victim was transported to an area hospital and is being treated for his injuries.
