Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - A man is behind bars after he was arrested by Orangeburg deputies for allegedly throwing rubbing alcohol on a woman and setting her on fire.

Terrence Glenn, 33, was denied bond Tuesday on charges of Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature.

According to an incident report, the victim was lying in bed when Glenn came into the room and began punching her in the side. The report then says Glenn splashed her with rubbing alcohol and attempted to light her on fire.

"The clothing that she was wearing, she could not remove it quickly enough before she was burned," said Keisa Peterson with the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office. "She is continuing to get treatment at the Augusta Burn Center."

According to police, the incident gave the woman first and second degree burns on the neck chest and both arms.
