Lexington,SC (WLTX) - Former White Knoll High School Athletics Director Bryan Butzhas been sentenced for embezzling money from the school system.

Judge Robert Hood sentenced Butz to 160 days in jail and five years probation. He also must pay a $5,000 fine and almost $14,000 in probationary sentence.

Butz will serve the jail term on weekends.

Back in 2010, Butz was arrested after prosecutors say he took over $100,000 in money that was meant to buy equipment for sports teams.

Butz became athletic director at White Knoll in the summer of 2006 after previously serving as head athletic trainer there.
