(WLTX) --- It was this past weekend when both Dutch Fork and Batesburg-Leesville captured state championships in their respective classificiations.

Those title games marked Week 15 of the high school football season.

This Saturday's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl means the football season will extend another week, but you won't hear Omar Staley complaining.

The senior defensive end played a big role in Dutch Fork's 54-14 win over Sumter in the 4A Division I titlegame. But there is no break for Staley who is in Myrtle Beach as a member of the South Team.

Isaiah Cullum from Batesburg-Leesville also might be a little tired but he too, is working hard this week to perhaps impress some college coaches.

A member of the North All-Star team, Cullum was part of the offensive line whichopened some holes for the Panther running game as part of the 28-24 victory over Silver Bluff in the 2A Division II title game.

After Saturday's contest, the two guys will probably be in line for a long nap. But until then, they are in the midst of a fantastic two-week stretch that consists of winning a state title and then playing in an All-Star game.
