Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The weekend started off on a dry, chilly note with high temperatures on Saturday only climbing into the middle 40s.

Sunday temperatures will be warmer and much closer to normal as highs top out in the middle 50s across the Midlands.

Monday looks like it will be our warmest day over the forecast period.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower to middle 60s for the start of the workweek.

A front will approach the area on Tuesday, but it should be a dry frontal passage.

The front will bring in some much cooler air by mid-week.

Wednesday through Friday high temperatures are only expected to be in the lower to middle 40s.
