(WLTX) --- USC quarterback Dylan Thompson spent the morning of Super Bowl Sunday at a Spartanburg area church where he spoke and answered questions from the audience.

Thompson, who has been named the starter going into spring practice and the forseeable future, says he is confident of what lies ahead with all the weapons at his disposal.

Former USC running back Marcus Lattimore was in the crowd that heard Thompson speaking.

The second-year running back with the San Francisco 49ers says he is looking forward to competing for playing time after spending last year essentially as a redshirt as he worked to get his surgically repaired knee up to full strength.
