Ridgeway, SC (WLTX) - BOMAG is coming to Fairfield County, a move that will bring over 100 new jobs.
Governor Nikki Haley, state Commerce Department officials, and company representatives were there for the announcement Wednesday morning near Ridgeway.The company decided to make South Carolina the home for its North American headquarters.
BOMAG produces machines for road building. It is the first company that will be in the Fairfield Commerce Center.
The move representsan $18.2 million investment and is expected to bring in 121 new jobs over the next five years.
Construction is expected to begin next month.They will be hiring for several positions including parts, service, engineering and human resources.
