Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A high number of power outages has been reported across South Carolina Wednesday.
At its peak, over 200,000 homes and businesses statewide were without power due to the winter storm.
The heaviest amount of outages are in the Lowcountry, which saw an ice-only storm.
In the Midlands,several thousands SCE&G homes and businesses were without power. The most were inOrangeburg County, where at its peak, 7,500outages were reported.
Outages in Lexington and Richland Counties have been relatively light.
The South Carolina Electric Cooperatives reported about 104,000 outages statewide at2 p.m. About 150 co-op personnel are coming from other states to help get the lights back on for people in South Carolina.
