Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The weekend ended on a dry and pleasant note with high temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s.
Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday will be warm and sunny with high temperatures in the lower to middle 60s.
It will be breezy at times on Monday with winds out of the southwest at 10-15 mph.
Tuesday a front will approach the area and clouds will move into the area, but it looks like the frontal passage will be dry.
Colder air will spill in behind the front and on Wednesday we are looking for highs only in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
The cooler than normal temperatures will be with us through at least Saturday with highs reaching the upper 40s to near 50° by the start of the weekend.
There are some differences in forecast models for Saturday, but right now we are looking for a chance for some isolated showers under mostly cloudy skies.
