Daytona Beach, FL (CBS) - The South Carolina mother accused of trying to kill her three children by driving the family van into the ocean in Florida appeared in court Monday.

Florida prosecutors said they have been concerned about the welfare of Ebony Wilkerson's unborn child ever since the 32-year-old hit her abdomen when she was in custody. They asked the judge to look into moving Wilkerson into a more restricted facility.

In response, the judge did not make a ruling. Instead, the judge decided to give Wilkerson's lawyers time to offer recommendations of what the court should do as far as relocating the North Charleston mother.

Ebony Wilkerson, 32, was charged with three counts of attempted murder and three counts of child abuse in Volusia County, Florida.

According to Volusia County authorities, Wilkerson is accused of intentionally driving into the ocean on March 4 with her children - ages three, nine and ten. They say she denied trying to harm them.
