A Gamecock football player was arrested on Harden Street early Sunday morning.
Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- A Gamecock football player was arrested early Sunday morning.
Na'ty Tolliver Rodgers, 19, was charged with disorderly conduct and consumption of alcohol by person under the age of 21. Officers responded to a call at 800 Harden Street at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Jennifer Timmons with the Columbia Police department said Rodgers was being loud and boisterous. Officers also detected a strong odor of alcohol when speaking with Rodgers.
Authorities say that Rodgers was cooperative, but could not provide a drivers license upon request. He only provided a USC ID.
He later provided a Maryland drivers license.
The officer did not know that Rodgers was a football player until after the arrest. According to Timmons, that knowledge does not have an affect on charges.
