The filing period for South Carolina elections has ended.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The filing period for this year's South Carolina's elections is over, leaving Gov. Nikki Haley and the state's two U.S. senators facing primary challenges in June.

The filing period closed at noon Sunday.

Haley is a Republican being challenged by former state representative and circuit judge Tom Ervin of Greenville.

Incumbent U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham faces six opponents in the June primary. Orangeburg attorney and state Sen. Brad Hutto faces Columbia businessman Jay Stamper in the Democratic primary for Graham's seat.

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is being challenged in the GOP primary by Randall Young of Greenville.

Four incumbent constitutional officers, all Republicans, also face primary challenges.

The Democratic and Republican primaries are June 10th with runoffs on June 24. The general election is Nov. 4.
