Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Columbia Police report they have arrested a suspect in connection to Saturday night's Harden Street shooting incident in Columbia's Five Points Area.
Police say Jacob O'Nay Green, 23, has been placed under arrest and charged with two counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
24-year-old Shante Tabor was also placed under arrest, charged as an accessory after the fact of a felony.
Around 12:45AM early Saturday morning, CPD responded to the 800 block of Harden Street in Columbia's Five Points area, in response to a shooting incident.
Officers say a friend of the shooting victim pulled him away from a fight that had broken out between the suspect and the victim. The victim and his friend ran to a vehicle parked in a lot across the street from the scene, and attempted to leave the location.
According to witnesses speaking with investigators, the suspect fired several shots at the vehicle as the victim and friend were attempting to leave, and one shot struck the victim in the leg.
Officers say they do not believe this was a random act of violence, and it may have stemmed from a previous conflict.
