Lexington County, SC (WLTX) --- Lexington County Multi-Agency Enforcement Team officers seized two methamphetamine labs that were being operated in Lexington County.

The labs were being operated in adjacent homes on Pine Drive. Officers arrested Garrett Hutto, 50, Marla Minick Hutto, 49, Wayne Ray McGee, 53, and William Edward Luke, 53, in connection with the labs.

Garrett Hutto was arrested on charges of third-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, third-offense possession of methamphetamine and unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine, Metts said. Officers arrested Marla Hutto on charges of third-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, second-offense possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine. McGee was arrested on charges of third-offense manufacturing methamphetamine, third-offense possession of methamphetamine and second-offense unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine. Luke was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine, unlawfully altering pseudoephedrine, improperly disposing of waste from a methamphetamine laboratory and simple possession of marijuana.

Garrett Hutto was being held on Sunday at the Lexington County Detention Center on bail totaling $100,000. Marla Hutto was held on Sunday at the county Detention Center on

bail totaling $95,000. McGee was held on Sunday on bail totaling $110,000. Luke was held on Sunday at the county Detention Center on bail totaling $55,620.

At about 8:27 p.m. Friday, authorities went to McGee's home in order to investigate a CrimeStoppers tip that a methamphetamine laboratory was being operated at a residence on Pine Drive near Lexington. Officers executed a search warrant at McGee's home and found that a methamphetamine laboratory was being operated at the residence.

Officers disposed of the methamphetamine laboratory.

While officers were at McGee's home, officers detected a chemical odor emanating from an adjacent home at 147 Pine Drive, that they recognized as an indication that a methamphetamine laboratory also was being operated at that residence.

Around 9:44 p.m., officers went to the home at 147 Pine Drive. Officers found one reaction vessel at the home that had been used to manufacture methamphetamine. Officers also found two scales at the residence and one small plastic container on Luke's person that contained marijuana. Officers arrested Luke at the second home.

Officers dismantled the reaction vessel that they found at 147 Pine Drive and properly disposed of the reaction vessel.
