Officers say suspect is responsible for killing 17-year-old Da'Von Capers.

Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Lexington police have arrested a suspect in Monday night's stabbing death of a Dutch Fork High School student.

Kierin Marcellus Dennis, 18, has been charged with murder in connection with the case. He was booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.

Tuesday afternoon, a magistrate denied him bond.

Police say Dennis stabbed 17-year-old Da'Von Capers outside the Cookout Restaurant on West Main Street in Lexington. Capers was taken to the hospital where he died.

Officers say they were able to connect him to the case through tips from witnesses.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation.
