Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The suspect in a shooting that injured a University of South Carolina student in Five Points last year is in federal court Wednesday.
Michael Juan Smith is appearing for a pre-trial hearing on a firearms charge.
Columbia Police say Smith shot Martha Childress in Five Points on October 13th. Investigators say the man was targeting someone else and ended up hitting her with his gunfire.
