FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (AP) - Police in Fountain Inn have arrested a man and charged him with stealing packages after they are delivered at homes in the area.

Police Chief Keith Morton said the man was seen on video removing packages from several homes. Forty-year-old Gerald Edward McConnell is charged with three counts of larceny.

Greenville County sheriff's deputies have filed other charges.

Items taken include a cellphone, vitamins and lawn mower.

Morton said a neighbor used her cellphone to take video after getting suspicious about what the man was doing. The woman said the man told her he was working with UPS.

It was not clear if McConnell has a lawyer.
