Elgin, SC (WLTX) - Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers says a teen found dead earlier this week was strangled.

Fellers says 18-year-old Briana Rabon died from asphyxiation due to strangulation.

Rabon's body was found in a wooded area Wednesday afternoon. Investigators were able to identify her quickly because her driver's license was near her body. The woman's car was found at a Waffle House on Highway 601 near Interstate 20.
