Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested a suspect they say robbed five different stores this month.

Deon McNeal, 45, is charged with five counts of armed robbery and five counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

From February 18th to February 22nd, officers say McNeal struck these businesses:

February 18, 2014 - Little Caesar's Pizza at 4440 Rosewood Drive

February 19, 2014 – Pop's Convenience Store - 4805 Garners Ferry Road

February 20, 2014 – Exxon Convenience Store - 3720 Rosewood Drive

February 22, 2014 - Dollar Tree - 2001 Rosewood Drive

February 22, 2014 – Circle K Convenience Store - 6122 Garners Ferry Road

Officers say in most of the crimes, McNeal would pretend to purchase something, then would pull out a box cutter and threaten the employee. Investigators say he would then steal the cash register and run out of the store.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.
