Kershaw County, SC (WLTX) - The suspect charged with killing a Kershaw County teenager has waived his right to a bond hearing.

Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says 21-year-old Stephen Ross Kelly will stay in jail until his trial.

Last Friday, Kelly was arrested and charged with murder in the strangling death of 18-year-old Briana Rabon. Matthews says it's believed Kelly killed the young woman Tuesday night. Previous Coverage: No Motive Yet in Briana Rabon Killing

Her body was discovered in a wooded area near Haig's Creek Subdivision Wednesday afternoon. Officers were able to track down Kelly's vehicle, which they said contained evidence linking him to the crime.

Matthews said there is no motive yet in the killing. Investigators believe he is the only person responsible for the crime.

Rabon, a 2013 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School, was laid to rest Sunday.
