Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Two people are in custody and police are searching for two others accused of scamming a 90-year-old woman out of $45,000.

Police say 38-year-old Steven Spradley and 23-year-old Brandon Spradley were arrested over the weekend. They are accused of running a fake home repair scheme that may have been active across the Midlands.

Police say the men randomly approached the woman and informed her that worked needed to be done on her home. Investigators say they charged her money but never made the repairs.

Police are still searching for 41-year-old Jamie Spradley and 48-year-old Timothy Edwards.
