UNION, S.C. (AP) - A couple claiming to belong to a group identified as a white supremacist organization has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to killing a man and his wife in Union County because he was a registered sex offender.

Authorities say Jeremy and Christine Moody killed 59-year-old Charles Parker and his 51-year-old wife Gretchen Parker last July, stabbing and shooting them.

Investigators say the Moodys are members of a loosely organized online white supremacist group called Crew 41 and decided to kill Parker because he had taken advantage of a disabled woman.

The Moodys asked Circuit Judge Lee Alford to spare them a life sentence so they could see each other again. When the sentence was imposed, they exchanged a brief kiss.
