Lexington, SC (WLTX) A man has been arrested after deputies say he broke into homes and stole prescription medication.

Scott Samuel Neal, 31, of Chapin was arrested on two counts of second-degree burglary, one count of possessing a controlled substance, and one count of possessing an implement that could be used to commit a crime.

Arrest warrants state that last Saturday, Neal broke into a home on Old Lexington Highway and stole prescription medication. They also say he went to a home on Primrose Lane and took Alprazolam, a drug used to treat anxiety disorders.

Officers eventually tracked Neal to his home. They say he had a black and yellow Stanley flat-head screwdriver that deputies believe he used to break into a home. They also say they found a camouflage book bag that contained prescription medication that had been reported stolen from the Old Lexington Highway home and Primrose Lane home.
