Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a bank robbery suspect they say led them on a pursuit that went over three dozen miles.

Just before 11 a.m. Thursday, deputies say the suspect came into the Wells Fargo in the 9000 block of Two Notch Road and demanded money. At this point, officials don't know if weapons were involved.

No one was injured.

Deputies took the person into custody after a pursuit that traveled across several roads, including Interstate 26.

Newberry County deputies shut down part of Interstate 26 West when he reached an area in their county. Newberry deputies say they used tire deflation devices to stop the man once he exited off the interstate and got onto Main Street in Newberry.

The suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Lyle Patrick Burnett. He will be charged with robbery/entering a bank with intent to steal, unlawful carry of a pistol, and failure to stop for blue lights and siren
