Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Two men wanted in connection with a weekend murder case have been arrested.
Columbia police say 22-year-old Horace Watts, 22, and his younger brother, 17-year-old Malik Davis, were taken into custody around 6 p.m. Monday at a home on Colleton Street. Officers say they found the two hiding in a bedroom.
Their accused of taking part in a shooting that happened Saturday night at 9 p.m. at a party being held in the 2700 block of Magnolia Street.
Officers believe Davis got into a fight with another man at the gathering, then left. Moments later, officers say he returned with his brother, and one of the suspects fired gunshots into the crowd, hitting two men.
One of the victims died on the way to the hospital, while the other continues to recover from his injuries.
The two are being held at the Richland County Detention Center.
