The sheriff's department is still investigating where Vosburg has been since she dropped off her 2-year-old child on August 2.
Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - A woman who deputies say abandoned her 2-year-old at a meth house has been arrested.
Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says 24-year-old Amanda Leigh Vosburg, 24, is now in custody.
Ravenell says Vosburg was arrested by the Barnwell Police Department at a home on August 12th.
According to Ravenell, Vosburg left her child at a home on August 2nd where two people were arrested on methamphetamine charges. Investigators said she said she was going to pick the child up after four or five hours, but never did.
Ravenel says Vosburg was receiving financial assistance from the Department of Social Services Food Stamp program to feed two children. But officers determined that one of the dependent children was actually being cared for by a grandmother.
Investigators then got a warrant against her for food stamp fraud.
