Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia Police are investigating a second hit and run incident.

Investigators say the incident happened around 12:30 Sunday morning at the intersection of Gervais and Harden Streets.

According to their preliminary information, they believe the female pedestrian was using the crosswalk and crossing the Gervais Street going northbound. The vehicle is reported to have been driving eastbound on Gervais Street when it struck the pedestrian and left the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Police have talked with witnesses and are continuing to investigate the incident.

Investigators say the vehicle they are looking for is possibly a dark colored convertible, (possibly green). They say the vehicle should have heavy damage to the front end and wind shield.
