Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg County deputies are searching for a woman who they say left her 2-year-old daughter at a meth house.

Investigators say they intend to charge 24-year-old Amanda Leigh Vosburg with unlawful neglect of a child.

Back on August 2, deputies say Vosburg left her two-year-old daughter with a caregiver at a home on Binnicker Court. Investigators say Vosburg said she'd been gone only for a few hours, but never returned.

The caregiver tried to find friends or relatives who would take the child, but deputies say none of them were willing. Eventually, the caregiver took the girl to the Bamberg County Department of Social Services, who notified deputies and placed the child in emergency protective custody.

Officers say as this situation played itself out, Vosburg sent a Facebook message to a woman she didn't know, saying she could have the child.

Five days after the child was dropped off at the Binnicker Court home, investigators got drug complaints about the house and went to check them out. When officers looked inside, they say they found methamphetamine in the home.

Officers arrested two people as a result of the search: 41-year-old Christy M. Kinsey and 29-year-old Fran Nicole Roberts, both charged with possession of methamphetamine. Investigators say they found meth in a jewelry box in Kinsey's house, and some of the drug in the inside pocket of Roberts' bookbag.

"This child deserves better and this office will prosecute all those involved in her mistreatment," Orangeburg Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said about the case.

Anyone with information on where Vosburg may be should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, or e-mail a tip in to www.midlandscrimestoppers.com. You can also text information in by texting "TIPSC" plus your message to CRIMES (274637). Either way you choose, your identity will remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
