Columbia, SC (WLTX) - University of South Carolina police are searching for a suspect after police say held up a student at gunpoint.

The incident happened around 12:40 a.m. on USC's Horseshoe. According to a Carolina Crime Alert, the suspect pulled a gun on the student and demanded money. The student, thought, didn't have money, so the suspect followed the victim back to his dorm at East Quad.

He eventually left the dorm and was last seen walking toward Five Points. The victim wasn't harmed during the incident.
