Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland School District One has picked Dr. Cynthia Cash-Greene to be its new interim superintendent.
School Board Chairman Aaron Bishop says Cash-Greene will start work on June 2nd. During her career in education, she worked 19 years in Richland One and was superintendent of Orangeburg School District Three for four years.
She takes over for Dr. Percy Mack, who announced earlier this month that he plans to retire on June 30th after leading the district for six years.
Cash-Greene will work with Mack to ensure a smooth transition, according to the district.
