Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- In a decree from South Carolina's Governor, today, Tuesday, August 19th, has been declared Random Acts Of Kindness Day state-wide.
Governor Nikki Haley cited the recent Random Acts Of Kindness done by Midlands people, going the extra mile to help others in our community through random acts of good deeds.
For the last 11 weeks, WLTX devoted time each Tuesday morning to spotlight those who take steps to help others, without any expectation of repayment or return.
Over this time, we noted fellow Midlands residents who pay it forward through random acts of kindness, like a surprise purchase of another customer's meal or groceries, donations of products or services that some otherwise could not afford, and sometimes returning the favor by Paying it Forward to another.
Today, and every day, do a Random Act Of Kindness, because doing even a seemingly small thing can have great impact upon others.
