Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Parents and educators gathered in Columbia Friday to learn how to better understand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

It was a packed house for the conference that was sponsored by parents reaching out to other parents of South Carolina.

They are a non-profit organization that provides information and training about education to families of children with all types of disabilities.

The group brought in an author Chris Zeigler Dendy, who has written 4 books on ADD and gave parents advice and tips on how to help children succeed in the classroom.

PRO-Parents of South Carolina hosts several workshops throughout the year on a number of different topics. To learn more about the services they provide, go to www.proparents.org/
