Cara and Glenn O'Neill are on a mission to fund a clinical trial in hopes to save their 4-year-old daughter.
Columbia, SC (WLTX)- Eliza O'Neill was diagnosed with a rare terminal genetic disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome- Type A. When her family received the news in July of 2013 they sprung into action. Glenn and Cara O'Neill found a gene therapy clinical trial in Ohio specifically for children with Sanfilippo Syndrome.
The trial is lacking funding to remain on schedule for late 2014. The community has been supporting Eliza with races, bracelet sales and many other fundraisers.
The O'Neill family recently had photographer, Benjamin Von Wong, create a video for them in hopes it will go viral. You can watch the video or donate to the cause by Clicking Here.
